Hey style sisters! Stylerunner.com putting Julie and Sali Stevanja ahead of the pack in activewear

When it comes to being on trend and fashionable in fitness, the Stevanja sisters are on the money.  They spotted that we’re all into activewear these days and took a chance at building an online store, Stylerunner.com, to sell quality gear for people who want fashion as well as function.  (My column today – Enterprising Women – AFR Weekend).

The stylish sisters claim to be the first online store to specialise in premium international activewear labels – think adidas by Stella McCartney, or The Upside by Jodhi Meares, our Australian-based designer.   Their website went live in October 2012 and they’ve been running as fast as they can ever since!

Yes, they also sell to blokes through their Stylerunnerman.com portal.

It’s all in the family for twin sisters, Julie and Sali, who have tapped into the trend to convergence between fashion, lifestyle and exercise.  Julie worked in institutional finance at a big-four bank and invested in property, while Sali left school in year 10 and worked in a variety of jobs, including 10 years in recruitment.

It’s all about the online and digital strategies to market and build the Stylerunner.com. brand.  Julie shares more, on this video from a recent Fulworks Q&A event in Sydney.

Longer term plans include partnering with a strategic partner to grow globally. Could they become the next Net-A-Porter?  That’s the goal.

We don’t want to miss a single thing you do!  Heeey style sisters!

(With thanks to US band – Train – for inspiration from their song “Hey Soul Sister”)
